Predation and habitat.

These birds are prey by many, and these birds are predators to many. They are eaten by other, bigger birds like hawks, owls and shrikes. Smaller, baby chickadees are more prone to be eaten by tree-climbing animals, such as squirrels.
A chickadee's diet includes (because it's omnivorous) seeds, berries, nuts, insects, invertebraes and occasionally pieces of meat. They also love to eat peanut butter, sometimes offered at bird-feeders. They don't stay at a bird feeder for long, as they have a habit of burying seeds and coming to it later.
These birds are found in decidious and decidious-evergreen mixed forests, especially near the edges. They can also be found near willow trees and cottonwoods and they like to make their nests in the snags of alder and birch trees. Bird feeders and houses can alos be used to attract chickadees into city/town backyards and trees.
